Today I made a decision. There are so many issues confronting ustoday, from political issues, to health issues, to economicissues, to environmental issues….it’s easy to become overwhelmedand do nothing. Sometimes I feel that there are so many problemsin this world, and they are so huge, that my little voice willnever be heard, much less have any measurable impact on any ofthese issues. I know that I am not alone in this feeling.
For many years, I have talked about toxins and chemicals andtheir impact on our health, and I have shared this informationwith others in the hopes of making a difference. I believe thatwe must, for the sake of our children, open our eyes to what’shappening to our planet. Our government and our media would haveus believe that all is well, that our rivers and streams arehealthy, and that our planet is thriving. Does this feel rightto you? We must care enough to look beyond what is fed to us. Ibelieve that by working together, we can and we will put thisearth back on a positive path. It is not necessary that we do alot, it is just necessary that we do something.
Today, I made a decision. It is no longer enough for me to talkand share. Today, I am asking for you to take a stand and make adifference. Today I joined the March on Washington to StopGlobal Warming, and I am asking you to do the same. We must notonly care, we must say that we care and we must make our voicesheard. Please join me today.
